As Bitcoin becomes harder to afford, many DeFi lending platforms still require high collateral and complex, hard-to-trust flows. Bitmor explores a mortgage-style model that lets users start with 20% upfront, gain full BTC exposure from day one, and build ownership over time through simple monthly payments.
challenge.
Designing Bitmor meant simplifying a highly complex financial system into something users could trust and act on. Most existing platforms were difficult to understand, felt risky due to unclear liquidation rules, and required large upfront capital. The challenge was to reduce friction, improve clarity, and make the experience feel safe and fun for both borrowers and lenders.
solution.
I redesigned the borrowing experience to make complex DeFi mechanics easier to understand and act on. I introduced a calculator-first entry to help users evaluate affordability upfront, simplified the onboarding flow into clear steps to reduce drop-off, and designed a unified dashboard that shows ownership progress, payments, and risk in one place. I also created separate flows for borrowers and lenders, ensuring each user type could quickly understand and navigate the system. To make the experience feel less intimidating, I added motion, playful interactions, and responsive feedback loops so actions feel clear, engaging, and rewarding.

Each decision focused on making Bitmor easier to trust, quicker to start, and more engaging to return to. By simplifying onboarding, surfacing key information early, and introducing interactive elements, the experience reduced friction, improved clarity, and encouraged repeat usage.
